Answering extended writing questions at GCSE (Science / Business Studies / PE)

Course Information

Many teachers are confident about teaching the content of answers to extended writing questions, but less confident about the sort of writing needed to get the full marks. Questions are phrased in many different ways, for example: describe, describe why, describe how, describe how you will and describe how you would. Each kind of question needs a different kind of language in the answer. This course looks at how to teach the style, tone and language structure of answers to the full range of extended writing questions.

We currently run this course for science, business studies and physical education (PE).
